curated kitchen

A PROJECT WITH jessica neeper interiors

Stepping into this art collector’s home in Bloomfield Hills, we immediately knew this would be an interesting kitchen! The homeowners lived in a brick colonial that they had infused with their own personality and eclectic artwork, to the point where it no longer felt like a brick colonial once we were inside!

We teamed up with Jessica Neeper to redesign the kitchen and bar to fit the homeowner’s social nature. Starting with the layout, we opted to relocate the refrigerator to the sink wall to allow for a focal hood on the range wall, and more functional worktop space. The refrigerator’s new location also allowed us to center and frame the 3 new sink windows nicely, and top them off with a statement sconce above each window.

Dark finishes work together to create a sense of drama and mood, while moments of brighter brass offer an interesting contrast, and highlight certain features. We couldn’t think of a better place to enjoy a nice Bordeaux and peruse some amazing artwork!
