A Renovation Project with Sullivan Strickler Design

as seen in Detroit Design Magazine

There are few things as relaxing and enjoyable as pouring evening drinks for friends in a cozy space, and this bar was created to do just that! It is as comfortable to enjoy solo as it is with a large party.

A handsome collection of masculine materials were chosen to create this elevated, gentleman’s bar. Dark crocodile leather, walnut, darkened steel, and Greystone marble-like porcelain work together to create depth, intrigue, character, and mood. Accent lighting via concealed LED light channels in the cabinetry and porcelain shelves further enhance the deep mood of the space, while visually highlighting the homeowner’s curated collection of art, literature and various spirits.

But let’s speak to the practicality of this bar too since it’s more than just a handsome face! This accent bar also features hidden undercounter refrigeration, icemaker, dishwasher, and an additional drain sink that can be used as an ice bucket while entertaining. The dark, polished porcelain strongly emulates the look of Greystone marble, while maintaining the durability required for entertaining. No staining or etching here! Cheers!
